因為最近看的電影「Little Miss Sunshine」裡，有這麼一段話，真是說到本格的心坎裡去了。

我們家的ZOE和全國的國高中生們啊，跟大文豪學著點，好好享受你們人生的菁華時光吧！

Dwayne: Sometimes I just wish I could go to sleep till I was 18, and skip all this crap, high school and everything, just skip it.　

有時候好希望能一覺睡到十八歲，直接跳過這些垃圾日子，中學生活什麼的。

Frank: You know Marcel Proust?

你知道馬歇爾普魯斯特嗎?

Dwayne: He’s the guy you teach.

他就是你教課的主題。

Frank: Yeah. French writer. Total Loser. Never had a real job. Unrequited love affairs. Gay.

是啊，法國作家、完全的輸家、從來沒做過一個真正的工作、莫名奇妙的戀情、搞同性戀。

Spent 20 years writing a book almost no one reads, but he’s probably the greatest writer since Shakespeare.

花了二十年，寫了一本幾乎沒人看的書，但他可能是自莎士比亞以來最傑出的作家了。

Anyway, he gets down to the end of his life, and he looks back and decides that all those years he suffered, those were the best years of his life, cos they made him who he was. All the years he was happy, you know, total waste. Didn’t learn a thing.

總之，他走到生命盡頭，回顧自己一生時卻認為，自己最苦的那些年，是他一輩子最棒的日子。那些日子造就了他。反而快樂的那些年，全都是浪費生命，什麼也沒學到。

So, if you sleep until you’re 18, oh~ think of the suffering you’re gonna miss! I mean, high school? Those are your prime suffering years! You don’t get better suffering than that.

所以說，要是你直接睡到十八歲，噢！想想你會錯過多少苦日子！我是說，中學？那些是你最苦的黃金歲月了，再也沒比那種日子更苦的了！
